If your air compressor looks grimy on the outside, imagine what’s happening on the inside.

We know what it’s like. There’s never a good time for the air compressor to be out of action, even if it’s only for a short service. Booking is a faff. Remembering to book is even more of a faff. And as long as everything seems to be working fine, there’s no urgent need for a service. Is there?

Well, in response to that, take a look at this.

Air Compressor Unit Before Servicing

These are images we took last week for a local Sheffield business that had decided its service could wait. They were lucky that the compressor was still working (just about) but take a look at all that dust and guck.

The thing is, all that grime isn’t just cosmetic. An air compressor sucks in air (otherwise it doesn’t have anything to compress). In this business, the air that had coated the compressor in muck was the same air that was passing through its filters and down the line to its air tools.

The filter was clogged. The motor was struggling to cope. And the air tools would have been delivering contaminated air. We sorted it, as you can see in these post-service shots, but there’s no doubt the working life of this compressor will have been shortened because it’s been struggling on for so long.

But there’s a simple fix for that.

Make servicing simple – get a service contract

Our servicing contracts address all the issues we explored at the start of this post. Regular servicing means you can plan for the short period of downtime – and it helps ensure against breakdowns that mean lots more downtime, usually at the worst time.

Booking is easy, because we sort it for you – there’s no need to remember and no need to call. We’ll just let you know when it’s due and if it’s not convenient you can rearrange.

> Keep your air compressor running with a good service
> Breakdown cover 24/7? We’ve got you covered

You get certain, regular servicing for a certain, regular cost, instead of having to deal with unexpected bills.

And your air compressor(s) don’t have the chance to become so clogged that they’re affecting the products you produce, the service you provide, and even the lifespan of the compressors themselves.

That’s what this company did.
